The City of McCook Water Treatment Plant is back up and running. A release from the city says the water restriction is now removed. Officials are thankful for cooperation while repairs were being made and appreciative for the City Water Department’s hard work getting it restored.
Previously, residents were asked to reduce their water usage while repairs were made to a broken pipe at the City of McCook Water Treatment Plant which was preventing the city from producing water.
Only drinking and flushing were allowed for a time to avoid emptying of water tanks.
Those with outdoor irrigation were asked to turn their equipment off until repairs were made.
Again the City of McCook has ended its water restriction.
