Cardinals nip Lexington

Lexington-Back to back goals in the 73rd and 75th minute helped Crete to a 2-1 win over Lexington on Saturday afternoon. After a scoreless first half, Lexington seized the lead as Naelson Garcia put one past Crete keeper Kenson Spence to give Lexington the lead at 1-0.

Crete however scored on a corner kick from Diego Espinoza in the 73rd minute and then Juan Tercero found the back of the net to give the Cardinals the lead in the 75th minute. The Cardinals are now 7-0 on the season, Lexington saw its three match winning streak come to an end as they are now 5-5. This was Lexington’s first loss at home since 2018.
