Burglary suspect arrested in Frontier County

                On August 17, 2024 at 0047 hours the Frontier County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a burglary alarm at Curtis Pharmacy in Curtis, NE. When deputies arrived the back entrance to the pharmacy was found open with evidence of forced entry. Deputies cleared the building and located no one inside.

                The Sheriff’s Office worked with the owners to identify the property that was taken from the pharmacy. Curtis Pharmacy was able to provide surveillance video of the suspect. Deputies conducted interviews at other nearby businesses and based on the description was able to identify that that suspect was driving a blue Buick with some slight frontend damage. Deputies patrolled through the area but was not able to locate the vehicle or the suspect at that time.

                On August 19, 2024 at around 0930 hours the Sheriff’s Office received a tip that a blue Buick Park Avenue with some frontend damage was currently at the Town and Country Market in Curtis, NE. Upon investigation the Sheriff’s Office was able to determine that vehicle was bearing Nebraska license plate 15AT37 and was able to identify the driver/owner of the vehicle.

                Sheriff’s Office personnel was able to track the vehicle back to a residence in Curtis and that the owner of the vehicle was identified as the suspect of the Curtis Pharmacy burglary. Frontier County Sheriff’s Office was able to obtain a search warrant for the residence and executed the search warrant 1155 hours. The search warrant was successful in locating the missing items from the pharmacy. The suspect was identified as Lukas W Venzor, who was arrested and charged with Burglary, Possession of stolen property, Possession of controlled substance x2. Additional charges are pending.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
