(HOLDREGE, Neb.) – The Central Nebraska Public Power & Irrigation District has announced that a buoy
line is being installed across Central’s Supply Canal to stop boat traffic during bridge construction.

For safety purposes, the bridge contractor is installing a buoy line downstream of the current bridge
project south of Cozad, located upstream of Gallagher Canyon and Highway 21.

Construction of the buoy begins immediately and will be removed when safety concerns are no longer present in the area for boaters and workers or at the completion of the project which is projected to be Spring of 2025.

Central is committed to the safe continued maintenance of the District infrastructure and for general
public recreation users.
