Broken Bow City Offices closed Friday due to extensive flooding
May 2nd, 2024 | Broken Bow City Administrator David Schmidt

City Administrator David Schmidt issued this statement about flooding in the Municipal Building that has prompted closing of the City Offices:

“Due to the extensive flooding in the Municipal Building, the City Offices will remain closed to the public Friday, May 3rd, 2024.

It is yet to be determined if the offices will be open on Monday, May 6th.  As plans solidify, as to how City Office operations will look moving forward, that information will be communicated to the public, at that time.

City phone systems are down.  Please continue to utilize Custer County Dispatch for all utility related emergencies at 308-872-6424.  Late fees will not be assessed for any utility bills this month, if paid on or before “shut-off day”, Thursday, May 30th.  Utility bills may still be placed in the overnight drop box, located on the front of the building, or paid online.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this unfortunate situation.”
