ARAPAHOE – The Arapahoe football team has high expectations for what could come in 2024 after a great 2023 season with almost everybody back.

The Arapahoe Warriors return seven starters from the team that went 9-2 and won two playoff games, making it to the state quarterfinals, losing to the eventual state champions. A lot of the starters have now been starting for two years now, including senior running back Will Cacy who was all state last year. Cacy has ran for over 2,000 yards the last two seasons, with 35 rushing touchdowns. Starting quarterback Trenton Roskop is also back after compiling 20 total touchdowns along with 850 total yards between rushing and passing last season. Both were also big contributors on defense as Cacy had 103 tackles and Roskop had 75 with six interceptions.

Arapahoe will have a great line to deal with with players like Jacen Smith, Eli Shafer and Trey Downey. Grayson Koller, Kade Fisher, and Roskop are all returning all district players in the secondary as well. All in all, Arapahoe will have one of the more experienced groups in the state.

Arapahoe head coach Dustin Kronhofman says that he feels his team will be tougher on defense this well and has bulked up on the line. He spoke with KRVN’s Jon Willis.

Arapahoe will start the season on August 30th on the road at Cambridge.
