Thirteen Nebraskans made the trip to the Badlands Circuit Finals took that took place over the weekend in Minot, North Dakota. The rodeo featured the top 12 athletes in each event in three rounds of competition.

Leading the charge for Nebraska was Cody’s JT Adamson, who won all three rounds of the calf roping to be named the average winner. Adamson snagged the title with good old fashioned consistency: making two 8.5 second runs and one 8.2 second run. Fellow Nebraskan and last year’s champion Austin Hurlburt ended the average race in fourth place.

In the breakaway roping, Danielle Wray of Ord ended up 4th in the average, with a 2.8 second run and a 4.2 second run in the second and third rounds, respectively.

On the other end of the arena, Koby Jacobson of North Platte placed third in the bull riding average after posting an 85 point ride in round two for third place, and an 81 point ride in round three for second.

Brother duo Cooper and Tucker White of Hershey snagged the win in the team roping in round three, posting a time of 4.2 seconds.
