LINCOLN — Adams Land & Cattle was recently honored as the 2024 Industry Service Award winner at the 71st Annual National Red Angus Convention in Lincoln.

The Industry Service Award is presented by the Red Angus Association of America to an individual, company, beef industry association or academic community, who have helped RAAA achieve excellence in the beef cattle industry during the past year or more. RAAA partnered with Adams Land & Cattle in 2022 after meeting the procurement team at the National Red Angus Convention. Together, they worked to source cattle for Tyson’s Brazen Beef program. Since then, the partnership has thrived, with RAAA collaborating closely with senior procurement coordinator Will Druery, to secure CARE-approved calves for Brazen Beef.

“Red Angus has enjoyed and appreciated our partnership with Adams Land and Cattle during the past two years in support of Tyson’s Brazen Beef program,” RAAA CEO Tom Brink said in a release. “Adams is one of the most innovative cattle feeders in the entire industry and a true leader in the area of individual cattle management and data driven decision making. They are also a group with high integrity, and are well deserving of this award.”

Adams enables Red Angus producers to review individual carcass data on each animal processed, allowing them to improve their products. Their innovative technology motivates RAAA to strive for leadership in the beef industry. Their commitment to acquiring Red Angus cattle and their dedication to enhancing the cattle industry have positively impacted both producers and RAAA.

“Without the continuous efforts and hard work from Adams, Red Angus would not be moving towards the forefront of the beef industry,” RAAA assistant director of commercial marketing Rachael Oliver said

Adams Land & Cattle was officially incorporated by Russ and Angenette Adams in 1973. However, their commitment to innovation, technology and continuous improvement within the beef industry began decades prior. What began in 1945 with 300 acres, a dairy, a few head of fed cattle, hogs, corn and hay has grown into an expansive company managing over 130,000 head of cattle across more than 80 backgrounding operations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Their unique BMI sort and proprietary software system Revoro™ have revolutionized cattle feeding by leveraging hardware and artificial intelligence to optimize animal endpoints and collect individual animal data, enabling data-driven decisions.
