Kevin George Peck passed away on November 4, 2022 at the age of 70 in the comfort of his home in Gothenburg, NE.
Kevin was born on January 18, 1952 in Beccles, England to Wilfred and Muriel Peck.
Growing up, Kevin would recall being a mischievous child who was constantly in trouble. After he aged a few years, he lived the “rocker” lifestyle when he developed what would be a lifelong love for English motorcycles.
After graduating high school, Kevin entered a college exchange program that brought him to the United States. He graduated from the University of Minnesota. After college, he moved to Dalhart Texas, where he was able to live his “American Dream” on a ranch and being a cowboy.
Kevin met the love of his life, Loretta, in Hereford Texas and spent a wonderful 29 years together. Their relationship gained him two daughters who he cherished. He later became what his grandkids would describe as a cool granddad.
Kevin worked in the agriculture industry, a career spanning over 50 years which included the companies Terra, Cargill, Country Partners Coop, Monsanto, Bayer, managing a hydroponic tomato plant and helping Chad Kuhlman with harvest. He gained many colleagues and friends along the way who liked and respected him a great deal.
With his old English sarcastic humor, Kevin made sure the laughs never ceased. He would often recite lines from the classics of Monty Python and Beavis and Butthead.
Kevin filled his time with activities that involved bird watching, wild flowers, motorcycles, farming and crossword puzzles. He was a man that possessed great wisdom and always had a thirst for more knowledge. Kevin will always be remembered as a confidant, a guy who always had your back, a super cool guy and a great husband, father and friend. “Geek” will forever be missed.
Kevin is survived by his daughters, Misty (Trent) Schlake of Gothenburg, NE; and Nikki (Clint) of Shelton of Pampa, TX. He has four amazing grandkids, Bryn and Austin Schlake, Aly Tatarevich and Summer (Laketon) Harris. He is also survived by his siblings in England, Mick (Jill) Peck, Marion (Neil) Hammond, Alison Trumpess and Stephen (Rosie) Peck along with nieces, nephews and great nieces.
Kevin was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Loretta and his parents, Wilfred and Muriel Peck.
A Register book signing will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 1:00-7:00 PM, with family present from 5:00-7:00 PM, at Blase Strauser Memorial Chapel.
A memorial will be held for Kevin in England at a later date.
Memorials may be given to the Rowe Sanctuary in Gibbon, NE.
