A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Alekzander Love will be held on June 25, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Parkview Baptist Church in Lexington, Nebraska with Pastor Keith Strasburger officiating.

An additional Celebration of Life Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Bartlesville First Baptist Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma with Pastor Gregg Simmons officiating.

Alekzander “Alek” Wayne Love, 36, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 at his home in Holdrege. Alek was born on July 28, 1987 in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He was the youngest of three children born to Ken and Nancy (Carrier) Love-Hulse.

After graduating from Bartlesville High School in 2006, Alek enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served during Operation Iraqi Freedom during the Global War on Terrorism.

Alek married Jamie Mix on both October 25, 2014 and October 31, 2014. They were blessed with two perfect children: Liliana and Brendan.

Alek was a talented musician with an ear for music, a gift for playing the guitar, and a beautiful singing voice. One of his greatest joys was playing in the worship band at Parkview Baptist Church.
He also enjoyed playing disc golf, writing songs, and annoying his family as only Alek could. He loved spending time with his kids: fishing, going on walks, and bicycle rides.

Alek was preceded in death by: his grandparents, George Love, Joseph & Rose Carrier, and Frank & Jerra Von Hulse; cousins, Benjamin Carrier and Danielle Black; niece, Madeline Bowles; and Marine Corps Brothers:  Adam Collier, Enrique Velasques, Robert Cox, Jake Vigario, Sean Hale, Chris Grove, Paul Reyes, Shane Borba, George Baker, and Brandon Wright.

He is survived by: his wife, Jamie Love and their children, Liliana and Brendan; his mother, Nancy Hulse and husband, Frank; his father, Ken Love and fiancee, Tammy; his brother, Nick Love and wife, Heather; his sister, Amber Love; his step-brother, Butch Hulse and wife Leanne and their children; his step-sister, Lisa Chacon and her children; his nephew, Tommy Love; his nieces Tia Love, Emmri O’Connell, and Allison O’Connell; aunts and uncles:  Rosey & James Jackson, Janie & Dan Linden, Joseph & Theresa Carrier, Riley & Terri Carrier; and Marine Corps Brothers of Weapons Company, 2d Battalion, 23d Marine Regiment, including: Jordan Brown, TJ Townsend, Kris Hurst, David Potts, Sean Conyers, Jordan Glasner, Edgar Fuentes, Jacob Stewart, Jesse Nacin, Trevor McLaughlin, Zach Roam, Jonathan Noteboom, Philip Daspit, Justin Gibson, Jimmie Gann, Jeff Turnage, Nestor MartinezZarzosa, Aaron Cortez, Aaron Reeder, Shane Jones, Bryan Garner, Ben Haiken, Ryan Sears, Jerry Fennell, Kenny Elmore, Trey Harper, Jason Williamson, Richard Pearce, Danny Alvin; along with many other relatives and friends.

There will not be a memorial book signing or visitation, viewing, as the family has chosen cremation.
