A couple who owns a pair of retail coffee locations in Scottsbluff will have a new building in Gering which could become their third.
Scotts Bluff County Commissioners Thursday afternoon unsealed bids for the former US Bank motor branch, and Ron and Sara Schluter made the only offer at $155,000.
The Schluters own the Emporium Express locations inside Regional West Medical Center and Main Street Market, which continued after they decided to close their Emporium restaurant.
The County Board had previously set fair market value on the former bank at $180,000, but by state law, the lack of a bid at that price gave them the option to consider any other bids, and they decided to accept the offer.
