Authorities say one person was injured when two semi trucks collided just west of Minatare Friday afternoon.

The Nebraska State Patrol says first responders were called to the intersection of Highway 26 and Link L79E around 5 p.m. on report of the crash.

Officials say a northbound semi on L79E turning to go westbound failed to yield the right of way, and was struck by the semi traveling eastbound on Highway 26.

The driver of the eastbound semi was transported to Regional West with non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the northbound semi was not injured.

The intersection was closed for approximately 5 hours for cleanup and investigation, the latter of which continues.
