Oakland-Craig Football outlasts Crofton

The Oakland-Craig Football Team picked up a big 42-13 home win over Crofton Friday night.

The Knights led 14-0 after one and 35-7 at halftime.

O-C won the 4th quarter 7-6.

Grady Gatewood was 8-10 passing for 101 yards and two touchdowns. Carson Thomsen caught 7 passes for 81 yards, and scored a TD.

Tavis Uhing ran the ball 12 times for 74 yards, and scored once. Gatewood had 67 yards rushing on 7 carries, including a TD. Carter Bousquet had 54 yards on the ground on 6 carries, and recorded a touchdown.

Jt Brands made 10 tackles while Payton Novak had 8. Trevor Weitzenkamp made 7.

The Knights rolled up 309 yards of total offense, including 208 on the ground.

Outstanding effort from Oakland-Craig.

O-C (3-0) takes on Norfolk Catholic (2-1) on the road Friday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

Norfolk Catholic won 30-7 at Ord last week.

Norfolk Catholic figures to give Oakland-Craig a super tough test, probably their toughest test of the season so far.

Oakland-Craig Head Coach Joe Anderson says Norfolk Catholic is very dynamic.

Norfolk Catholic Head Coach Jeff Bellar says Oakland-Craig is the real deal.

This should be a great game between two great teams and coaches.

This figures to be an incredible game that comes down to the wire and is decided at the very end.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on the Bull with pregame beginning at 6:30 p.m.
