Wreck near North Bend closes Highway 30 for period of time

A two-vehicle accident took place on Highway 30 and County Road 4, about two miles west of North Bend, just before 2:00 Monday afternoon.

An Eastbound Kenworth Semi-Tractor driven by 46-year old Daniel Furasek of Valparaiso was rear ended by a semi-tractor trailer driven by 35-year old Torell Dubose of Warren, Ohio.

Dubose suffered minor injuries. Both men were wearing seat belts.

Highway 30 was closed for about 5 hours.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene with assistance from the Nebraska State Patrol, North Bend Volunteer Fire and Rescue, the Nebraska Department of Transportation, Mike’s Towing, and Arrow Towing.
