The Oakland-Craig Boys Basketball Team lost 64-45 to Fremont Bergan in the C2-5 Sub-District Semifinals from North Bend Central last Tuesday night.
Jeff’s Game Recap:
Bergan led O-C 16-6 in the 1st quarter, and won the 2nd quarter 21-16 to take a 37-22 lead into the locker room. Bergan won the 3rd quarter 14-12 to extend their lead to 51-34 at the end of three. The Knights won the 4th quarter 13-11. Isaak Maxwell had 15 points while Braylon Anderson notched 10. Lincoln Benne added 7.
End of Season Synopsis:
Oakland-Craig ends the year at 11-10. Anderson led the team in scoring with 293 points and rebounding with 146. Maxwell added 249 points. Benne is the lone Senior lost to graduation. There are quite a few Juniors back for this team next year so the Knights should be able to make another run at things next year I would think. It’s going to take a lot of hard work in the offseason by this team to grow and have a nice season next year though. That being said, it can definitely happen as long as these kids are motivated and wake up and get it everyday.
