The Blair Police Department early Friday advised residents to avoid the area of 23rd and Nebraska due to an on-going law enforcement activity there. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Omaha Police Department were involved in that activity – to execute a search warrant, arrest people involved in illegal activity and use of a tactial team to secure the residence. Also on the Washington County Sheriff’s Activity Summary for this past week, a single vehicle accident at Higway 91 and County Road 9, no injuries are indicated in that incident. Identity theft in the 1500 block of County Road 49 and a hit and run accident in Arlington. Also on Sheriff Mike Robinson’s report, a traffic stop for speeding in Fort Calhoun found the driver, a 20 year old male, and a passenger, a 20 year old female both possessing drug paraphernalia.
