A City of Scottsbluff employee will now be sharing her expertise across the river in Gering… at least for part of the week.
Both cities entered an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for Stormwater Specialist Leanne Sato.
During last Monday’s City Council meeting, City Manager Kevin Spencer explained how the arrangement will work.
“Gering is in need of somebody, and we think that Leanne can fill that gap for them. She’ll work for them two days a week and us three days a week. And I’ll keep a close eye on this and make sure it’s working well for us.”
Scottsbluff will now pay 60% of her salary, with Gering rounding out the remaining 40%… The agreement begins this week on a year-to-year contract between the two cities.
