It may not be too much longer before we find out if a pair of medical marijuana initiatives appear on the November ballot.
Organizers with Nebraskans for Medical Marijuana say they have reached the signature thresholds required to put two medical cannabis questions before voters.
The effort has twice failed to appear in a general election, first in 2020, when enough signatures were gathered but the language of the questions was ruled to not conform to the single subject requirement in the state Constitution.
The second time was 2 years ago when backers lost two major financial contributors, which hampered signature gathering efforts and forced supporters to suspend the effort.
