Leadership Scotts Bluff Class 34 presented $19,400 to Northfield Haven earlier this month, representing the proceeds of this year’s Hoops 4 Heroes fundraiser.
Class members say Northfield Haven was selected as the beneficiary of the event because their commitment to fostering independence and inclusion aligns perfectly with the LSB goal of making a positive impact in the community.
Northfield Haven will use the proceeds raised from the event to purchase a non-CDL 15 passenger bus, which will allow them to be able to transport residents who live on site to experience local and out of state special events, employment opportunities, group activities, and day-to-day commuting.
By supporting Northfield Haven, LSB aims to contribute to their noble mission of promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life for all residents.
If you are interested in supporting Northfield Haven, you can do so by donating gently worn, used and new shoes to their shoe drive. There are collection sites set up at Safeway, Riverstone Bank, Platte Valley Bank in Morrill, Grace Chapel, and Main Street Market.
