Wilma met the love of her life, Albert Zitterkopf, in 1950 and they were married in 1952. Wilma spent her entire life dedicated to her family and her church. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Wilma spent countless hours helping to raise her grandchildren and saw it as a labor of love. From the time they were babies until they could drive, Grandma’s Buick/taxi could be seen picking up grandchildren from school as well as driving them to various appointments, piano lessons and trips to Dairy Queen.
Wilma’s family members will remember and miss her amazing holiday meals. She took great pride in being able to maintain her own yard and always had the best flower gardens in the neighborhood. She thoroughly loved her football and many fall Saturdays were spent eating pizza and watching her beloved Huskers. Sunday afternoons were spent cheering on her “Broncs.” Her gentle spirit, kindness, and patience will be missed by all who knew her.
