Gordon Lee Ostermiller, 84, of Scottsbluff, NE passed away to be with his beloved Lord on March 28, 2024. Cremation has been chosen and no services are planned at this time. Gordon was born to Harold & Emma (Kissler) Ostermiller at home in Creigton Valley on August 22, 1939, one of four boys born to this union. The family farmed outside of Melbeta, NE. Gordon loved farming from a very young age. He graduated from Melbeta High School in 1958.
He met and married Judy Stutsman in 1959 and to this union 5 boys were born, Dan, Leroy, Lance, Dale and Gordon Lee, Jr. He farmed south of Gering until 1986 when they moved to O’Neill, NE. He worked in weed science for the next 24 years. After retirement and failing health he and Judy moved back to Scottsbluff. He had a good support group between his wife, sons and brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents Emma and Harold; sons Leroy and Dan and brother Kenneth and his wife Shirley.
Gordon is survived by his wife of 65 years; sons Lance, Dale and Gordon Lee Jr.; brothers Terry and Gary (Mary); nieces Kristie & Dan Tillman, Canden & Brian Copsey and Teresa & Chrif Stecker.
Gordon will be sadly missed by his friends and family.
