Loper volleyball at home this weekend

Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney volleyball team will wrap up its spring season this weekend with two home events. The Lopers will face rival Chadron State Friday (April 19) at 5 p.m. in the Health & Sports Center. The next day (April 20), UNK hosts the annual “Legends Classic” which features NAIA, junior colleges and Loper Alumni squads. That tourney runs from 9:15 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public. Saturday’s matches will be two sets to 25 points (approximately 40 minutes) with Friday’s tilt against the Eagles lasting five sets no matter the score after three. On Saturday, UNK will play at 9:15 a.m. (North Platte C.C.), 10:45 a.m. (Hastings College), 1 p.m. (Legends Royal), and 1:45 p.m. (Laramie County C.C., Wyo.). Earlier this spring, the Lopers had competition dates in Colorado and Omaha.
