WASHINGTON, D.C. – Three Litchfield students have been recognized by Rep. Adrian Smith as part of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition for Nebraska’s Third District.

The contest invites high school students in each congressional district to submit their original artwork to their representative.

Alyson Adams of Southern Valley Public Schools was chosen as the first place winner in the district and will have her piece displayed in the capitol building in Washington for one year.

Jori McNeil of Litchfield received fourth place. Her work, titled “Animals of Nebraska”, will be displayed in Smith’s Scottsbluff office.

Ida Gross of Litchfield and Topanga Boyles of Litchfield both received honorable mentions.

“I want to thank the students who participated in this year’s Congressional Art Competition and offer my congratulations to the winners,” Smith said in a release. “Alongside winning entries from across the United States and in my offices, your work will be a reminder of the rich talent we have in the Third District.
