The Wisner-Pilger Girls Basketball Team lost 42-38 at Howells-Dodge in an East Husker Conference Tournament Consolation Game Thursday night before defeating Lyons-Decatur Northeast 69-26 at home Tuesday night.

The Jaguars led the Gators 9-6 after the 1st quarter, and won the 2nd quarter 11-9 to take a 20-15 lead into the locker room.

Wisner-Pilger won the 3rd quarter 12-9 to make it a 29-27 game at the end of three.

Howells-Dodge won the 4th quarter 13-11.

The Gators led the Cougars 23-9 after the 1st quarter and 47-18 at halftime.

Wisner-Pilger doubled up Lyons-Decatur Northeast 12-6 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 59-24 at the end of three.

The Gators outscored the Cougars 10-2 in the 4th quarter.

Two hard fought, good games for Wisner-Pilger.

The Gators (10-11) wrap up the regular season at Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (9-13) Thursday night.

The Bears fell 51-28 at home to Lutheran High Northeast Tuesday night.

I think Wisner-Pilger has a very good chance to win this game and end the regular season on a high note.

A win would create some good momentum for Sub-Districts too.

The Gators have played a bit of a tougher schedule than Laurel-Concord-Coleridge has, and their wins are better as a whole too I feel.

It should be a good game though that is for sure.

A win would be a good thing for Wisner-Pilger, and I really do think the Gators will get the W come Thursday night.
