Overview:
The Winnebago Boys Basketball Team is under new leadership as Treivan Bear comes over from the Girls program to lead the Boys program, taking over for Jeff Berridge, who stepped down this past offseason.
Also on staff is former South Sioux City State Champion Sky Aldrich, who is an Assistant.
Coach Aldrich talks about the make up of this year’s team.
I look for the Indians to really get after things and run and gun this year.
I think Winnebago can be very good and get back to what they have been in the past.
Season Outlook:
Winnebago beat Omaha South in their Jamboree game.
That’s super impressive to me as the Packers are a Class A School.
The Indians get going for real at Homer on Thursday. Coach Aldrich says they’re looking forward to that game and the Walthill game on Friday.
Winnebago is in Sub-District C1-6 with West Point-Beemer, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, and Wayne.
Coach Aldrich says all three teams are very strong.
I think the Indians will do pretty well this year when it’s all said and done.
Winnebago appears to be hungry and ready to run and gun.
The Indians beat Omaha South after all so that is super impressive to me.
I think this year has a chance to be a pretty good one for Winnebago.
