The West Point-Beemer Girls Basketball Team fell 46-24 at Grand Island Central Catholic in the C1-3 District Final Friday night.

Jeff’s Game Recap:

The Crusaders led 12-10 after one and outscored the Cadets 10-2 in the 2nd quarter to take a 22-12 lead into the locker room. GICC outscored West Point-Beemer 15-8 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 37-20 at the end of three. The Crusaders won the 4th quarter 9-4. Allie Kaup led the way with 15 points.

End of Season Synopsis:

West Point-Beemer ends their year at 13-11. I thought it was a respectable season for the Cadets, and look for West Point-Beemer to get back to State next year. Kaup led the team in scoring with 331 points and rebounding with 158. The Cadets say goodbye to Meg Anderson, Olivia Gross, Kayilah Hickey, and Marisol Antonio. Everyone else is back, however. Next year has to be West Point-Beemer’s year. I really think the Cadets can get to State and win a game next season, but the Girls have to have an outstanding and fantastic offseason. These girls have to be motivated and driven to be great, and that has to show during their offseason workouts and conditioning.
