Graduate senior Kamryn Meyer garners her second of the year and 12th career Summit League TicketSmarter Peak Pitcher of the Week honors after her two victories against Kansas City.

Meyer shut out the Roos in both of her victories this past weekend. In eight innings of work during game one, Meyer only allowed three hits, and one walk, and retired six batters. Meyer pitched another complete game on Sunday where she again only allowed three hits with no walks.  The ace threw 13 strikeouts, one short of tying her season-high. She was credited for the first 10 outs, with 10 straight Ks. Meyer also struck out each Roo that went through the lineup at least once.

The Iowa native now has five shutouts and 173 strikeouts on the season. Meyer is now just 47 strikeouts away from 1,000 career Ks. Her two victories this weekend boosted her to 20 victories this season. Not having lost a game since her appearance at Nebraska, Meyer has the longest victory streak among D1 pitchers at 15.

Meyer and the Mavericks will head across town to play Creighton tomorrow, April 23 at 5 p.m.
