The Pender Football Team fell 44-32 at home to Wisner-Pilger Friday night.

The Gators led 8-7 after one and 24-20 at halftime.

Wisner-Pilger blanked the Pendragons 8-0 in the 3rd quarter to go up 32-20 at the end of three.

Both teams scored 12 points in the 4th quarter.

Braxton Volk was 4-14 passing for 89 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.

Quinton Heineman ran the ball 16 times for 89 yards and scored twice. Stephon Small carried the ball 10 times for 55 yards.

Brody Krusemark made 11 tackles while Aiden Beckman and Colton Sanderson each had 10. Trent Hansen added 9 while Heineman notched 7.

Pender had 288 yards of total offense, including 199 on the ground.

A tough loss to a really good team in Wisner-Pilger.

The Pendragons (1-3) travel to Beemer Friday night to take on GACC (0-4).

The Bluejays lost 60-14 at Stanton last week.

Pender has played an extremely tough schedule so far and has to get back on track with a win in this one.

GACC is having a down year this year so the Pendragons have to take advantage of that.

Pender has to turn in a complete game performance and take all the frustrations of losing the last few weeks out on the Bluejays.

The Pendragons have to unleash the fury and beast within.

Pender has to go into Beemer and not only win, but dominate.

The Pendragons really need to win their next 3 games, and I think they will.

It all starts with getting back on track at GACC though.

I think Pender will do just that and give themselves some much needed momentum heading into next week’s game at Bancroft-Rosalie.

The Pendragons should be 4-3 heading into the regular season finale against Stanton.
