The Oakland-Craig Girls Basketball Team lost 44-33 to Elmwood-Murdock in the 1st round of State on Wednesday from the Devaney Center in action aired on 107.9 the Bull.

Jeff’s Game Recap:

Elmwood-Murdock went up 14-6 after one before O-C doubled them up 12-6 in the 2nd quarter to make it a 20-18 game at halftime. Elmwood-Murdock won the 3rd quarter 15-10 to extend their lead to 35-28 at the end of three. Elmwood-Murdock won the 4th quarter 9-5. Briar Ray had 13 points while Adi Rennerfeldt notched 11.

End of Season Synopsis:

Oakland-Craig ends the season at 16-6. It was a really good year for the Knights considering all that they lost from last year’s State Runner-Up Team. Rennerfeldt was the team’s leading scorer with 297 points for the season while Ray led the team in rebounding with 111 on the year. Oakland-Craig says goodbye to Kara Selken, Valerie Lierman, and Morgan Ray. Key returners include Briar Ray, Rennerfeldt, Mia Thomsen, Sonya Guzinski, Brinley Eriksen, Bailey Pelan, and Carolyn Magnusson. With the majority of this year’s team back next year I look for the Knights to be even better next year and make another run.
