The Oakland-Craig Boys Basketball Team lost 47-37 to West Point-Beemer in the first round of the East Husker Conference Tournament at Madison on Saturday.

The Cadets led 12-7 after one and 20-13 at halftime.

Both teams scored 12 points in the 3rd quarter, and West Point-Beemer held a 32-25 lead at the end of three.

The Cadets won the 4th quarter 15-12.

Braylon Anderson had 16 points and 7 rebounds while Brayden Selk notched 7 boards.

Oakland-Craig (6-11) takes on North Bend Central (6-12) in an EHC Tournament Consolation Game in North Bend Tuesday night.

The Tigers lost 61-54 to Stanton at Wisner-Pilger in Saturday’s First Round aired on 107.9 the Bull.

NBC beat O-C 56-33 at home last Monday night.

I fully expect Tuesday’s game to be a lot closer than that one was.

I look for the Knights to come out motivated and energized, and feel they will play a good game.

Both teams must be motivated, which doesn’t figure to be easy.

I could see both teams not being motivated, but I think ultimately both of these teams will get up for this game.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Tiger Arena.
