The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Boys Basketball Team lost 34-31 at Yutan in last Friday night’s regular season finale before winning 73-65 over Winnebago in the C1-7 Sub-District Play-in Game from Wayne last Monday night, and then falling 51-44 to the host Blue Devils in last Tuesday’s Sub-District Semifinals.
Yutan Recap:
The Raiders doubled up the Chieftains 14-7 in the 1st quarter before winning the 2nd quarter 6-4 to take a 20-11 lead into the locker room. Both teams scored 9 points in the 3rd quarter, and LVSS led 29-20 at the end of three. Yutan outscored the Raiders 14-2 in the 4th quarter. Grayson Kraus had 14 points while Josh Egbers and Kolton Kriete notched 8 and 7, respectively.
Kriete had 18 points against the Indians while Kraus was also in double figures with 15. Egbers chipped in 7.

LVSS led 17-10 after one before winning the 2nd quarter 15-14 to take a 32-24 lead into the locker room. The Blue Devils won the 3rd quarter 13-10 to make it a 42-37 game at the end of three. Wayne outscored the Raiders 14-2 in the 4th quarter.
End of Season Synopsis:
Logan View/Scribner-Snyder ends their year at 8-16. The Raiders say goodbye to Kriete, Max Lange, and Jacob Smith. Nolan Robley, Kraus, Egbers, and Truman Young return, among others. I think LVSS has a chance to be pretty good next year and be an improved squad. I thought the way the Raiders battled against Wayne in Sub-Districts was really good. LVSS has to build upon that and have a good offseason in order to get ready for next year.
