AMES, Iowa – Iowa State will return to the NCAA Division I Volleyball Championship after being selected Sunday night. The Cyclones earned the No. 6 seed and will take on the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles this Friday, Dec. 2 at 3:30 p.m. CT in Gainesville, Fla.
The winner will move on to meet Florida or Florida A&M on Dec. 3 at 6 p.m. All matches will be streamed on SEC Network+.
ISU will make the 16th trip in program history to the tournament, with 15 happening under head coach Christy Johnson-Lynch.
Iowa State concluded regular season with a 19-11 overall record while finishing 10-6 in conference play. The Cyclones brought in two ranked wins for the first time since 2016 and secured 10 Big 12 wins, a first since 2017. Eleanor Holthaus leads ISU in kills with 3.05 per set while Alexis Engelbrecht (1.10 per set) and Kelsey Perry (1.09 per set) led blockers. Brooke Stonestreet has a total of 483 digs this season at an average of 4.39 per set and finishes Big 12 play as the leader in digs (4.74 per set).
