The Clarkson/Leigh Girls Basketball Team fell 38-32 in overtime to Crofton in the first round of State at the Devaney Center Wednesday afternoon in action aired on 107.9 the Bull.

Jeff’s Game Recap:

The Patriots led the Warriors 10-7 after one before Crofton won the 2nd quarter 7-5 to make it a 15-14 game at halftime. The Warriors won the 3rd quarter 7-4 to pull ahead 21-19 at the end of three. Clarkson/Leigh won the 4th quarter 11-9 to tie the game at 30 and send it into overtime. Crofton quadrupled up the Patriots 8-2 in the extra session. Brynn Settje had 20 points while Chloe Hanel notched 7.

End of Season Synopsis:

Clarkson/Leigh’s season ends at 17-7. It was a really good season for the Patriots in my mind as Clarkson/Leigh pulled off a couple huge upsets and made a really nice run at the end of the season. Hanel led the team in scoring with 484 points this year and rebounding with 149. The Patriots say goodbye to Hanel and Gracelyn Eisenmann. Key returners for next year include Settje, Izzy Hollatz, Cadence Indra, Reese Wietfeld, Ava Kasik, Kendall Schneider, and Baylee Settje. Clarkson/Leigh should continue to be good next year and beyond. The Patriots are a team and program that just keeps reloading year after year.
