BRLD Girls upset Wahoo in District Final
March 4th, 2022 | Jeff Axtell

The BRLD Girls Basketball Team upset Wahoo 41-38 in the C1-5 District Final in Wahoo last Friday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull.

The Wolverines led 11-4 after one. The Warriors won the 2nd quarter 5-2 to make it a 13-9 game at halftime.

Wahoo won the 3rd quarter 12-10 to close the gap to 2 at 23-21 at the end of three.

BRLD won the 4th quarter 18-17.

Jordan Snyder led the way with 20 points while Mckenzie Murphy was also in double figures with 11. Addison James added 7.

What a win for the Wolverines!

BRLD (19-6) takes on Lincoln Lutheran (22-3) in the first round of State at the Devaney Center in action that will be aired on the Bull Monday Morning.

The Warriors beat Fairbury 38-18 in the C1-1 Sub-State Final at home last Friday.

Wahoo beat Lincoln Lutheran 38-37 in the regular season.

And the fact that happened shows you right there that the Wolverines can in fact win this game.

It’s cliche, but BRLD has to believe and trust that they can win this one.

Most people probably thought Wahoo would beat BRLD and they didn’t so we’ll see if the Wolverines can pull another shocker of an upset come Monday Morning.

BRLD has a lot of State experience and won’t back down from anyone.

The Wolverines won’t be scared or intimidated either, that you can bet on.

BRLD has been there and done that before, and they will be ready, there’s no doubt about it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Wolverines pulled the upset.

Tip-off is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on the Bull.
