A one-year-old boy at the center of a recently-filed child abuse case has lost his battle to survive.
Authorities have confirmed to KNEB News the child passed away Saturday at a hospital in Aurora, Colorado.
Members of the boy’s extended family announced the news in a public social media post, saying support has been unmatched, and making a request for love and positivity as per the boy’s father.
It’s not know yet what effect the child’s passing will have on the legal case of Tyler Green of Gering, who is charged with knowing and intentional child abuse resulting in serious injury.
If convicted of the Class 2 felony, Green would face a sentence ranging from one up to fifty years in prison.
