Dalton Wiese was at the center of the action on Tuesday night as Gering Platte Valley Companies knocked off Sheridan County in legion action at Oregon Trail Park 9-1 in five innings.
Wiese, who was scheduled to start on Sunday but got rained out against WESTCO, pitched two scoreless innings of relief with five strikeouts and a save, while also homering twice as part of his 3 hit night at the plate.
Gering collected five extra base hits on the night.
Carter Reisig started on the mound and worked three innings with eight strikeouts to pick up the win.
Gering improved to 9-14 with the victory.
In the juniors game it was B&C Steel falling to Sheridan County 7-2.
Gering is home again tonight to take on Bridgeport in a JR/SR doubleheader starting at 5 pm.
