A woman with active warrants out of Texas and Tennessee is behind bars following a pursuit through three Panhandle counties.

According to Scotts Bluff County Chief Deputy Sheriff Troy Brown, the office was notified around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday that 25-year-old Bayleigh Dollison was in the area driving a Silver Chevrolet Malibu with Colorado In-Transit tags.

About an hour later, a Sheriff’s Deputy spotted the sedan southbound on Five Rocks at the intersection of Country Club Road and attempted a traffic stop, but the vehicle immediately accelerated and continued south onto Highway71.

Sheriff’s Deputies pursued the vehicle south on Highway 71 with speeds reaching 125 mph. Brown says with very light traffic and no road or weather conditions, the pursuit was allowed to continue through Banner and into Kimball County.

The Kimball County Sheriff’s Office successfully deployed spike strips in the area of Road 40 on Highway 71, forcing the vehicle to stop east of Kimball due to a deflated front tire.

Brown said Dollison was taken into custody for Flight to Avoid Arrest, Willful Reckless Driving, Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She is also held on two Texas drug-related warrants, and one Tennessee warrant charging her with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

Assisting with the investigation were the Gering Police Department, Nebraska State Patrol, Banner and Kimball County Sheriff’s Offices and the Kimball Police Department.
