USAF to Host Two Town Hall Meetings
August 4th, 2024 | Media Release

The U.S. Air Force is holding two Town Hall meetings in the Nebraska Panhandle on Aug. 6th and 7th in Kimball and Sidney.

The intent of these meetings is to inform local public and landowners about relevant future construction plans and facts concerning the Sentinel program.

The Department of Defense recently reviewed the Sentinel program following a critical breach of the Nunn-McCurdy statute and certified the program as essential to U.S. national security.

Air Force officials will share the implications of this decision on the missile fields in the vicinity of F.E. Warren Air Force Base and the related construction projects in the area.

Additionally, they will address the ongoing efforts of survey teams that may require access to land to conduct Environmental Impact Surveys, and answer community questions regarding the way ahead for the program.

The Town Hall meetings are scheduled for Aug. 6th at The Sagebrush in Kimball and Aug. 7th at Sidney High School Auditorium. Both Town Halls will start at 6 p.m.
