A new report from a nationwide organization committed to advocating for maximizing the educational opportunities of each individual child generally found a high level of school satisfaction among Nebraska parents.

According to the poll conducted by 50CAN, 87 percent of parents across the state say they are satisfied with the quality of their children’s education, but 24% of those parents would switch schools if they had the chance.

Nebraska schools ranked at or above the national average in school quality, opportunity and mental health, as well as college and career readiness, but below the rest of the country when it came to information and engagement between school officials and parents.

The survey was conducted in July and August, with results based on responses from 414 parents and guardians.
