Round one of the Class B State Golf Championships at Scotts Bluff Country Club is complete with the Norris Titans on top of the team standings.

Norris shot a combined +23, 311 and they lead the York Dukes by 10 strokes.

Carson Thurber leading the way for Norris, he was the only player under par today at -2, 70. He’s got a four shot lead on Crete’s Reece Vertin.

The Scottsbluff Bearcats posted a team score of +35, 323 and they currently sit in third place in the team standings.

Noah Shaddick had the best round for the Bearcats today with a three over par, 75 which has him tied for 3rd place. Tommy Dredla for Scottsbluff is also inside the top 10 after shooting a 77.

Gering’s lone participant, Jack Maser, is tied for 53rd place after opening with a 89.

Class C (at Columbus)

The opening round was canceled and they’ll hold a one-day, 18 hole championship tomorrow.

Class D (at North Platte)

The start of the opening round was delayed by weather and they’re currently finishing up the opening day of action. Look for scores and team standings by CLICKING HERE.
