A Cheyenne based firm with a Scottsbluff office is the recipient of a multi-million dollar road project.
Simon Contractors was the only bidder for a mill and overlay on Scottsbluff’s 20th Street from Cleveland Field to 17th Avenue.
Their $2.74 million bid was approximately 12% higher than the engineer’s estimate, but also had increased material costs and higher than anticipated traffic control costs.
The council gave unanimous approval to award the contract to Simon, and the project has an October 1st anticipated completion date.
