Comments Friday by President Biden that placing conditions on aid to Israel is worthy of consideration drew criticism from Nebraska Senator Pete Ricketts Saturday.

Speaking to reporters from Nantucket, Massachusetts, Biden said that he believes putting conditions on military aid to Israel is a “worthwhile thought,” and he hopes the Gaza cease-fire will last longer than four days.

“There is nothing ‘worthwhile’ about the anti-Israel propagandists demanding conditions on aid to Israel,” responded Ricketts in his statement issued to media outlets. “President Biden should know better. Israel deserves our unconditional support as they defend themselves against terrorist Hamas.”

On Saturday, it was reported that Hamas unilaterally decided to delay the release of additional Israeli hostages, due in part to an apparent bid to speed up the volume of aid being allowed into southern Gaza.

That delay went several hours into Saturday evening before the second round of releases took place.
