The State Swimming and Diving Championships wrapped up for the Scottsbluff/Gering Seacats team on Saturday in Lincoln.

Head coach Vanessa Woolsey had final report from the final day of the season.

“Unfortunately our 200 Medley Relay was not needed to fill in today. We are still extremely proud that this is the second year in a row that we have been ranked well in relays. These boys have worked hard all season and I know that they will continue to improve next season!”

Individually, Wisley Mooc placed 12th in the 100 Free with a time of 49.31. He also re-broke the school record he set during prelims in the 100 backstroke with a time of 53.46, earning him 5th place on the podium.

Coach Woolsey said they are very proud of Mooc’s success along with the rest of the team for the work they put in during the season.

“We look forward to next season and seeing more swimmers standing on the podium representing our team and Western Nebraska at state swimming.”
