Scottsbluff Public Schools is getting ready to embark on the next elementary school renovation and upgrade project, this time for Lincoln Heights.

The Scottsbluff School Board this week approved the scope of the work to be completed at the school, which is the oldest educational facility in the district.

Superintendent Dr. Andrew Dick says that means Lincoln Heights has unique needs compared to Roosevelt and Longfellow, some of which have been addressed in the recent past.

Work to be done at Lincoln Heights will include new paint and carpets in hallways and classrooms, stairwell flooring improvements, and technology upgrades throughout.

Costs for the upgrades will be determined as bids come in, with the district using the depreciation fund and ESSER funding to pay for the work that starts next summer.
