A Scottsbluff woman is facing a pair of drug distribution charges following a series of controlled drug buys conducted by the WING Drug Task Force last year.

38-year-old Kayla McBride, also known as Kayla Spiehs, was arrested Tuesday for two counts of Distribution of Methamphetamine on or near a playground, both Class 1D felonies.

In court documents, investigators say McBride sold methamphetamine to cooperating individuals twice in May of 2021, with a total amount of more than 11 grams.

During her initial court appearance Wednesday in Scotts Bluff County Court, bond was continued at $150,000 with a ten percent provision, and a preliminary hearing was set for March 22, 2022.
