A Scottsbluff woman is facing a pair of felony drug charges following a series of controlled drug buys conducted by the WING Drug Task Force more than a year ago.

Court records say 37-year-old Mindy Reed was arrested last Friday on two Class 1D felony counts of Distribution of a Controlled Substance within 1,000 feet of a school or playground.

Investigators say Reed sold a total of 55 suspected fentanyl pills to Cooperating Individuals in December 2022 and January last year. The warrant was issued last week after the State Crime Lab test results confirmed the pills were fentanyl, a Schedule II Drug.

An initial court appearance for Reed was scheduled for Wednesday afternoon in Scotts Bluff County Court, and initial bond in the case was set at $200,000 with a ten percent provision.

If convicted, each count carries a mandatory minimum of three years in prison, with a maximum of 50 years.
