Scottsbluff volleyball drops season opener, Gering wins at home

There was high school volleyball on the network last night as Scottsbluff lost their season opening match, falling at home to Chadron in five sets 25-18, 25-22, 19-25, 20-15, and 15-13.

Scottsbluff was led by Ava Reed who finished with 19 total points including 17 kills while Emma Hergenreder tallied 17 points with 13 kills.

Scottsbluff will play tomorrow at Alliance and then head to Gillette this weekend for tournament action.

For Gering on Tuesday they improved to 2-0 on the season with a straight sets win over Morrill 25-10, 25-7, 25-18.

Gering will host Bridgeport tomorrow night and we’ll have that match on KMOR 93.3 FM & KMORfm.com with pregame coverage starting at approximately 6:15 pm. Gering will then play Saturday at Sterling (CO).
