LEXINGTON – Rushing for over 400 yards as a team and watching sophomore Sebastien Boyle score five touchdowns, Scottsbluff led from start to finish in a dominating, 49-7 road victory over Lexington.

Lexington tricked the Bearcats with an onside kick recovery to start the game, but failed to move the ball on offense. The lack of offense would be a theme all night for the Minutmen. Despite being pinned on their own five yard line to start their first drive, Scottsbluff would methodically march down the field to score the first of five touchdowns for Boyle. The Bearcats would go on to score on every drive except three when they would turn the ball over.

Quarterback, Braden Stull went 3-8 for 43 yards, one rushing touchdown and two interceptions. The Bearcats accumulated 486 total yards, 443 rushing. Lexington struggled to move the ball as they didn’t convert their first first down until the second quarter. The Minutemen only mustered 98 total yards of offense. Kaden West finished 7-20 through the air for 46 yards, one touchdown and an interception. West connected with Jacksen Konrad from 14 yards for the only Lexington score. The Minutmen also fumbled three times.

Lexington hits the road next Friday at Alliance. Scottsbluff returns home to face McCook.
