The City of Scottsbluff is in the process of bringing back a sports league for adults.

During Monday’s council meeting, City Manager Kevin Spencer said there was interest in reviving an adult flag football league.

“Matt Carpenter, our parks director, is kind of trying to reinvent this and have these type of activities,” explained Spencer. “We used to have a flying football league. It’s probably four or five years ago. And so this is an effort to have one again, at Lacy Park.”

The council gave unanimous approval for the non-exclusive license and management agreement, which paves the way for the gears to start moving towards the creation of the new adult flag football league.
