The Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Department is continuing their investigation after human remains were found near Melbeta.
Chief Deputy Troy Brown says on October 18th, they received a call about possible human remains located on land north of the river.
Brown tells KNEB News that part of an arm bone and part of a shirt were located, and the bone was confirmed to be human. He says the the items have been sent off to compare to DNA from previous missing persons cases.
He says as of now, no more details will be released until they get those results.
